Mary Gallant and Jordan Wall

Our Story

While Mary and Jordan lived in the same small town for over a year, it wasn’t until July 2022
when Bridget, Mary’s sister, encouraged her to finally go on her first (and only) Bumble date that
they officially met.

One of our favorite sayings in our relationship has been “timing is everything”. Jordan grew up in the Seattle area, studied (and cultivated many close friendships and a healthy social life) at the University of Washington, joined the military, served alongside a Green Beret team on multiple deployments to the Middle East and Europe, moved back to Washington and settled in the Tri- Cities. He has earned his position as one of the top Financial Advisors for Merrill Lynch all while working on his second graduate degree from Gonzaga University. Mary was born and raised in Pasco, studied at Santa Clara University (where she met some of her best friends and spent most of her time working hard towards her lifelong dream of a career in medicine), attended graduate school at Seattle University (the third Jesuit school between both Mary and Bridget - thanks Dad!) to earn her Master’s in Nursing, and eventually moved home to begin working as a nurse practitioner at Lourdes, the fifth generation member of her family to do so.

When Mary and Jordan first saw each other on Bumble, both were highly skeptical as it seemed too good to be true. But after going out on a limb and meeting for the first time at a local cocktail bar, they talked for three hours straight, shutting the place down only after having had one of the best first dates - full of lighthearted stories, laughter, and amazingly deep conversation. The first date only ended after Jordan announced that he should get some sleep before leaving early the next morning for Wyoming. He was off to his next adventure of climbing the Grand Teton. Little did Mary know that he would be waking her up via FaceTime from the summit; even more of a surprise, she answered! This felt different.

Shortly thereafter Jordan asked Mary to make it official. Since then, the adventures have been
endless, from exploring the mountains in Osttirol, to admiring the alpenglow in Sun Valley,
Idaho, to talking about the places they’d still like to go, the things they are looking forward to,
and the challenges they know they’ll face. One thing became apparent: they wanted to do it all
together, side by side.

In December 2023, after countless hours of planning, coordinating, and the help of Mary’s
family, Jordan surprised Mary while on their family vacation in Maui, her favorite place on earth.
After letting Mary know that something special would be happening the following day - as
everyone knows she is not keen on big surprises - and with the assistance of Bridget in
surreptitiously packing everything that Mary would need, Jordan pulled off the most beautiful
and special proposal. Of course Mary said YES!

They are both so grateful to you, their community, for your love and support. They can't wait to
celebrate the wedding with you soon!
